Take the challenge

PrayColleyville continues!

PrayColleyville is a city-wide prayer challenge. Our aim is to see the people of Colleyville, TX come together to pray for our city.

PrayColleyville actually started as a 90-day prayer challenge (September 2 - November 30, 2009), but as the end of the 90 days drew near, we sensed that we have just begun to see what God wants to do in our city, in the metroplex, and in the world.

The vote has been taken, the results are unanimous - PrayColleyville will continue!

Will you please join with us in asking God to do an amazing work of revival and renewal in our lives -- and in our city? And then hold on for an incredible adventure, because our God answers the prayers of His people!

Thankfulness

It's exciting to see my young children reading the scriptures and bringing home prayer requests for other children in the classes they attend at school. Our city is unique but behind closed doors they're are many difficult situations. Say hello to a neighbor better yet invite them over for a meal. Lord Bless

Body of Christ united

For me the gathering to pray at Piazza was powerful. I argued with God about getting up so early, but he graciously woke me early Thursday morning and blessed me with the most awesome sunrise while driving to Piazza. There I prayed with business men, pastors, construction workers and moms. We joined together with a unity of purpose to lift up our kids, our homes, our businesses and schools. I think it tore down the walls of the church, and made me aware that the body of Christ is bigger than my… Continue

90 days of prayers

For me it was just the simple act of praying for others as I walked through the neighborhood. God then opened the door a little bit more to my heart to follow His commandant of Love God with all your heart and by extension love my neighbors in a new way.

Only In America

My husband and I spent the last ten years working in the Middle East-- Saudi ARabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. While there, we were unable to practice our faith-- and, in fact, in Saudi, it was nearly impossible to attend any type of church service except for the occasional service at the Embassy. While our "freedom of religion" was non-existent, we watched the communities we lived in openly practice their faith-- at work, at home and in the mosque. Five times a day, we heard the mosque call to prayer… Continue

A Harvest of Souls

Many times we pray and think nothing is happening. We must realize that every time we pray, something happens. Prayer is the conduit through which the purposes and plans of our Heavenly Father are transmitted into the earth. Prayer is like a seed planted that takes time to bring forth its fruit. Many times it becomes the catalyst to expediting the work of God.

During the 90 days of prayer and fasting, fifty-four(54) people made decisions to live for the Lord during our services. There were two… Continue

An Eye-Opening Experience

It was the first time I have been involved in a community effort to pray for all those that worship and work in the city. The honesty of the daily prayers were faith building, heartfelt, and opened my mind and heart to all those in the city that need special, specific prayers. It took me out of my little world and revealed the needs of the city. We all have varied needs and can all benefit from prayer! It was life changing to understand the responsibilities, commitment and opportunities that are… Continue

BOLD statement to the world

Pray Colleyville had a profound impact on my life personally and my family in many ways. In this competitive day and age, people and organizations are so into themselves, concerned with their own agendas, wanting to be/look better than everyone else, and do what it takes to get that extra edge. It is overwhelming to me that a city can come together, all different backgrounds, religions, agendas, socio-economic levels, organizations and come in one accord, with one purpose, in unity, get on our k… Continue

Unity in His Name

I have wanted you to know that the 90 day prayer chain for our city blessed me immensely. First, it was a great open door in which to send the original email out to all my friends in Colleyville. I sent it even to those who do not know the Lord. They may not have been people I would think would join the prayer campaign, but what incredible seed that must have planted for them to know strangers were willing to pray for them, their leaders, schools, etc.!!!

Second, I took great pleasure in readin… Continue

power of together in His name

God used PrayColleyville to remind me of His joy in answering prayers to those who are faithful to ask and wait. The vision that led to PrayColleyville --and the faithful patience of many years to make this movement a reality -- reminds me that everything is possible with God. Glorify Him and He makes a way.

When the city came alive for me:

I had the honor of scanning maps and subdivisions of city of Colleyville with the purpose of putting together a comprehensive way for individuals to prayer walk the neighborhoods within Colleyville’s city limits. After hours of looking over the maps and streets within the city, it all came together. As I drove through Colleyville, the awareness of who is living in the city was amazing to me. I discovered we have a large working ranch in the midst of the city that sells hay! Also, there are stree… Continue
